INTRODUCTION
M2M (Movie to Music) awards is an initiative of Strategia Blast International, a media consultancy and award company. Strategia Blast International was registered in Lagos, Nigeria to provide media services in various areas. These services include Media Consultancy, Organizing M2M awards, Publishing, Artiste and Events Management and other core media services.

The aim of the award is to recognize and reward Nigerian artistes who have excelled in both movies and music in a convivial atmosphere of dance, comedy and drama coupled with razzmatazz, glitz and glamour. The date for the maiden edition of M2M awards has been fixed for November 22, 2008. It will take place at Planet One Maryland Lagos.

The award ceremony comes in three stages: Red Carpet reception, M2M Vaudeville (Comic display with drama, songs and dances) and the presentation of awards to winners. The ceremony will be shown live on Africa Independent Television (AIT) plus a one hour broadcast on Nigeria Television Authority #(NTA) and Silver Bird Television (STV) in addition to over twenty independent television programmes on other national TV stations that will cover the event. About one thousand, five hundred (1,500) celebrities in the movie, music, modeling and comedy industry in Africa and the international community are expected to attend M2M awards.

OBJECTIVES OF M2M AWARDS
1. To assemble the finest of Nigeria’s music and movie industry in a convivial atmosphere of drama, song, dance and comedy.
2. To create the need for a conscious effort at identifying multi talented artistes whose works transcend movies and music and to boost their morale.
3. To host an annual award ceremony that will compete positively with international standards.
4. To provide a lasting platform for Nigerian artistes to showcase their multi faceted talents.
5. To reward cross over creative excellence in the face of negative economic conditions.

AWARD CEREMONY OUTLINE
M2M awards 2008 will feature an international artiste, Will Smith who is reputed for making hits in the movie and music industry and winning laurels in both. The award ceremony will commence with a nominee party in honour of the international guest artiste in the United States of America. The award ceremony will consist of an authentic red carpet reception, M2M Vaudeville and presentation of Awards to winners.
